How to Spot a Scam Survey Site

There are hundreds of survey sites online calling for consumers to
register with them and take surveys to make money. But the truth is
that majority of them are scam sites. They will promise you a goldmine
but at the end of the day, you will waste all your time and get
nothing in return. That does not mean that there are no legitimate
survey sites on the net. You need to discover the secrets of spotting
the scam sites.

UNREALISTIC PAY PACKAGE
Beware of sites that promise you large pay packages. Some will tell
you that you can make $250 per hour and $3000 per week. No company
will pay you that kind of money to take surveys. Run away from such
flashy sites.

REGISTRATION FEES
When a survey site asks you to pay certain amount of money before
surveys are sent to you, look away from such sites. Legitimate surveys
are always free to register. You need to understand how survey sites
make their money. Large corporations pay them to conduct research for
them. They in turn entice consumers with their own reward system to
make sure they get the result they want. So, any site that asks you to
pay any money upfront could be a directory site that probably wants
you to help them complete their surveys. At the end, they get the
payment and may not send any to you.

TOO SIMPLE REGISTRATION PAGE
Legitimate survey sites send you surveys depending on your profile. If
the registration page of the survey site asks for few informations
like your first name, surname and email, it is probably a scam. A
legitimate site will ask for extra informations to know what kind of
survey that will be sent to you.

SCANTY COMPANY INFO
A legit survey site will be ever willing to disclose all the necessary
information about them. A legit site should have a comprehensive
information in their 'about us' or 'contact us' page and look for
company's address, phone numbers, company history and other details
that are always provided by legitimate businesses. Any site that
cannot provide the above information is a scam site.
Apart from the above informations, you should always follow your
instincts. When your mind tells you that there is something fishy
about a site, please do not compromise, don't hit the submit button.
It is also advised that you open a different email account for
receiving surveys.
It will take great effort to differentiate between legit and scam
survey sites, but when you get the real ones, i bet, it will be a
great experience knowing that your opinion is going to make a great
impact in the quality of goods and services that will be made
available in the market.
