A blog is a platform which you can use to tell the world about
yourself, your interests, likes, lifestyle etc. The most interesting
part of it is that it is free (unless you want to use yourown
name.com). Some people do blogging as past-time or leisure while some
people blog to earn a living through adsense. Whatever season you may
have, blogging can be a fascinating experience. There are many sites
that offer free blog to bloggers, and we want to present to you some
of the top free blogging sites.



1. BLOGGER
Blogger, owned by Google, is one of the most popular blog websites. If
you are new to blogging, Blogger is a great starting site to get to
know blogging and its user friendly dashboard.
Blogger has a rich text editor that lets you write and format text
with simple tools and buttons rather than code. You can also customize
lots of things like fonts, colours, background pictures and page
widths.

2. WORDPRESS
WordPress offers free blogging and hosting service to bloggers. But
unlike blogger.com, wordpress could be a bit technical and serious
blogger will need to put in some time to master the tools and pluggins
in wordpress.
Wordpress.com also sell domain names at £17 per year if you wish to
buy and they will continue to host your site for free.

Livejournal is both a blogging website and a social networking site.
As a social networking website, it can assist you to drive traffic to
your blog.

Posterous another ideal platform for beginner bloggers. Porterous
allows you to post through any email and even through text message
allowing you to post from anywhere rapidly. Posterous also allows you
to syncronise you blog with social networking sites like Twitter,
Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, LinkedIn, and even other blogs you manage
on other platforms, including Xanga, Typepad, MovableType, and Drupal.

5. Blog.com
Blog.com, just like wordpress, offers free blog and free hosting to
its members. The platform of blog.com looks more like that of
wordpress which makes it easy to understand if you can use wordpress.

6. Tumblr.com
Tumblr is more popular among visual bloggers. is a micro-blogging
website where users can post less text with more images, videos, and
more to their tumblelog. Tumblr's interface is too graphical, which
may frustrate and slow down new bloggers.
